Canine Program

Anti poaching canine program

Program duration 2-4 weeks

Price $3500 for the four week period

          $2000 for the two week period

Includes:Transport to and from Bulawayo       (on the set dates). 

Board, lodging and laundry.

Excludes: Flights and out of date transfers. Alcohol and  extra activities.

The anti poaching canine program takes place at our facility in Southern Zimbabwe. 

Participants in the program will be hands on with the training and socialising of the puppies and dogs.  This helps create well rounded anti poaching canines, that will one day be donated to areas that need them. They will be involved with the day to day running of the program and learn about canine health and kennel management, as well as foundation and advanced training. 

There are numerous dogs of varying ages in the program and as such allows for a huge amount of learning opportunities for the participants. A huge part of the program is exposing the canine details to the wild areas and getting them comfortable in the environment where they will one day be working, This allows the program participants to experience a truly wild area. 

There will be numerous guided walks getting the canines used to life on patrol as well as assisting the area by looking for snares and signs of poaching. 

The facility trains tracking, apprehension and detection dogs so will expose the participants to all types of dog training and handling. There will also be talks by vets on animal health and practical first aid. 

. There will be a good amount of down time where participants  can enjoy the wildlife area and some of the activities that the area has to offer.
